  • Condition: Immaculate condition. The flute's surface is silky smooth, like new. The only minor blemishes I can find are a very tiny dent/scratch on the body and a very tiny scratch on the headjoint (see photo of them both side by side). Hard case also in excellent condition. Soft case has some scuffs. See item description for full details.

    Solid silver head, body and foot.
    Hand cut CY headjoint. Crown marked Silver CY.
    Open hole, pointed key arms, inline G, B foot, and gizmo key.
    Made in Japan.
    I am the sole owner of this flute since it was purchased new, circa 1990. Yamaha's YFL-581 of this vintage is notable for top-notch craftsmanship. Serial number 002758.

    Update: This flute was test played recently, and a few of the pads may need to be replaced due to possible leaks.
