Handcrafted dark bamboo Walking Cane Flutes made here at our home in the beautiful Berkshire mountains of Stockbridge, Massachusetts. Light yet very strong, our walking canes are intended for use by anyone in need of a walking cane for support or those searching for a stylish and unique walking cane.
Each Walking Cane Flute have a brass handle, leather hand strap and replaceable heavy rubber tip on the bottom. The exterior of our walking cane flute has a beautiful, 'tortoise shell' like finish developed by us over our more than 40 years of working with bamboo wood. This is a very unique finish that really sets our walking canes apart from all others. The dark bamboo wood contrasts beautifully with the brass handle to create a very distinguished looking walking cane. The exterior of our walking cane flute
is protect with
a coat of durable waterproof Polyurethane.
Built into the middle of our walking cane is a well tuned transverse flute, played sideways like a concert flute. Just turn the walking cane on its side and start playing away! The tone is incredible!
We individually hand tune each walking cane flute to a Major Scale (G) and they play a range of one and one half to two octaves. Though not 'perfectly' pitched our walking cane flutes are very well tuned and fine for playing along with other instruments. Great fun for jam sessions!
Free, play by-number instructions, are include with each purchase of a Walking Cane Flute. You need not know how to read music to learn how to play! Kids and beginner adults have found these instructions extremely easy to follow as they teach themselves how to play our side blown bamboo flute!
You will be pleasantly surprised at the wonderfully melodious tones produced by our walking cane flute. Children are wide eyed with wonder when they see a walking cane turn into a magical flute. There's smiles galore! For extended flute playing, the brass handle can be unscrewed from the walking cane.
You have a choice of four styles of brass handles:
'Regency' handles are by far the most comfortable of our brass cane handles. It is the best choice for anyone relying on a Walking Cane for support.
'Eagle' handles are the next most comfortable cane handle. If you will be applying a moderate amount of pressure on the walking cane this handle will work fine for you.
'Cobra' and 'Ball' brass handles are the least comfortable if you need the support of a cane for walking but they are quite stylish looking.
Walking Cane Length.
Unless otherwise specified, we ship our walking cane flutes cut to 36 inches (91cm). We will gladly cut our walking canes longer or shorter at no extra cost.
