Vintage Silver-Plated Deford Student Flute & Hard Case Good Condition No Flaws

This is a very nice silver-plated flute for a beginner. It is gently used, it has no flaws, all the keys work and the flute has a beautiful sound. The serial number is A23363. Original owner. I have had this flute since the mid-1970s. The flute was never played much (I am sorry to admit). The flute was bought at The Katonah School of Music (NY) and serviced by renown flautist Herk Feranda. The pads were replaced once. DeFord was the best student flute years ago (compared to Artley and Armstrong). We used to compare them at the school, and not only did the DeFord sound best, it was the easiest with which to produce a nice sound. The case is strong, secure, and in good condition though worn...yes, you can see where the labels (name and address) were removed. If you are buying a flute for a student, I would suggest having the music teacher decide if it needs new pads now or soon. It really may not.
