It is a native dryer of the northeastern people that use different sizes of wood to combine into the can. Khaen is a symbol of the Northeast. It is a metal tongue dryer. Khaen: The most complete and very popular instrument of Thailand, very long history for its development dating back to 100 of years. It is made of a kind of bamboo with metal single reed of tin, silver of copper inside it and joined together with wooden mouth-piece. There are different kinds of Khaen such as Khaen Jed (seven bamboo sticks) "Khaen Paed (eight bamboo sticks)" Khaen Gao (nine bamboo sticks) played by blowing at the mouth piece and controlling the pitch by opening or closing the holes nearby the side of the tubes with fingers.
