Freshly overhauled with Straubinger pads by NK Flutes in New York, this classic Powell from 1955 sings with all the rich, dark colors you expect from an American classic, but is surprisingly easy to play.
Powell flutes from the early years are special instruments, and the 1400 series is no exception. Instruments in this range were still made under the supervision of Mr. Powell himself, and were played by some of the most famous flutists of the 20th century.
This particular flute was finished on January 31, 1955, and features an Inline G, C# Trill, Low B, Soldered Toneholes, and .014 wall.
Selling as it is far too nice a flute to leave as a back-up instrument!
