Description
This is an Original Red Ute / Edward Bent Box Sr. Traditional Handmade Indian Flute. The flute is made of Redwood with a white totem attached on top. This flute is not signed but retains it's original tag. The flute has leather strips attached and is a 6 hole marked "F#". This flute appears new but is second hand so we are describing it as used. It is in excellent condition. This flute retains its original sale tag. The flute measures approximately 20-3/4 inches long and 1-1/8 inch in diameter. The totem measures approximately 2 inches long, 7/8 inch wide and 1-1/8 inches tall. This flute is one of the last remaining original pieces purchased from the maker's estate. Not signed but obtained with other signed pieces. One of his greatest passions was traditional Indian flute-making. He was a member of the Indian Arts and Crafts Assn. (IACA), Southern Highland Craft Guild, and the International Native American Flute Assn. (INAFA).
