Rare F. Hofinger Succes Flute - Vintage - C# Trill - New Pads - Made in Belgium. Free shipping in the USA.
This is a rare flute made by F. Hofinger, Succes model, made in Belgium. F. Hofinger made high quality flutes and other instruments in Belgium from the later 1800s through the 1910s, when his daughter continued the company through the 1950s. This maker was known for several patents on instrument making methods, including their tone hole designs, some of which can be seen on this flute.
This particular flute seems to be silver plated, with rolled tone holes, closed hole, C foot, C# trill key, pointed key arms, C/Bb shake, and original case.
It has all new pads and plays well! Of note, the headjoint from my Pearl flute fits this flute, so you could shop for a different headjoint for it if you want.
This flute has been thoroughly cleaned and is in good condition for being of unknown age. It has no serial number anywhere on it. It has a very solid and comfortable construction. I can truthfully say that I have really enjoyed working on this flute!
