Beautiful Old Footed Trivet
This is a gorgeous piece that I am having a hard time selling because it is so unique, beautiful and functional... it is an expandable silverplate trivet that is footed.  The design on the piece is ornate with great details.  Very well made and able to hold multiple size serving pieces... this would really make a statement at your dinner table.
The set has markings of P S Co EP, and a shield with pair of crossed keys and other marks.
I am not an expert of silver or silverplate, but have been told that the P and S identify this set as made by the Poole Silver Company of Taunton Massachusettes. The EP identify it as electroplate.  I offer it to you as found, and do not know definitively if it is Poole or another maker.  The Mark is pictured, and you can decide for yourself who the maker is.
The set comes from the estate of a family member who collected so many wonderful items, and this set was one of the many pieces of silverplate and sterling items she had.  I will also be listing a number of sterling pieces from her estate as well over time.
The piece is in need of a good polishing, and appears to have been polished by others.
