Description
I am selling thismodel 666/4
Philipp Hammig, Makneukirchen
.900 coin silver flute with closed G#, plateau keys and C foot.
Serial number:
12934
. Year of manufacture:
Before 1990
. Pitch:
442-444 Hz
.
It says
"Made in GDR"
on the barrel, which indicates that this flute must have been built before 1990.
The flute is equipped with a combined C#-trill key plus a 3rd octave G-Ab & G-A trill mechanism.
The flute also has double E-mechanism (see picture #7), which allows G1 to stay open just about half a millimeter when using 3rd octave E fingering. This is not standard equipment on flutes.
The flute has had all the pads on the body replaced with new ones. It performs comfortably at 442 Hz with the headjoint pulled out 2-3 millimeters.
The headjoint that comes with this flute is a custom made
Trevor J. James
solid silver headjoint with a German-style lip plate. I suspect that this flute may have been sold from a music shop with this particular headjoint configuration, since I also own a
Mateki MO-051
flute with a similar handmade Trevor James headjoint (having a gold lip plate). And I also spotted another Mateki flute on eBay last year, having the exact same TJ headjoint as mine. Too much of a coincidence, I think.
Postage is
USD
worldwide. The flute will be dispatched as a signed-for registered letter, with a tracking number attached.
Thanks for looking - and happy bidding!
