    Description

This is a beautiful handmade headjoint made by Toronto/Seattle maker of bespoke wooden headjoints/flutes for classical, baroque and Irish music, Peter Noy. He is not as well known as some more prolific makers but makes meticulously crafted, top shelf instruments and headjoints. His headjoints are played by top professionals across many genres. The Dallas Symphony flute section played his wooden headjoints at one point.
This head is made of boxwood, unthinned with no lip plate for the warmest, thickest most traditional sound possible. It would be perfect for a modern flute player looking to transform their sound to one that is more suitable for the baroque or folk repertoire.
The tenon of this head is undersized so will fit nearly anything - a little tape or sizing by a trusted repair tech may be necessary but likely it will fit on almost anything without much alteration.
This was brand new in 2016 and carefully used and stored. I am selling only because I have 2 other Peter Noy heads and can’t justify having them all! A great chance for someone looking for something different to acquire a rare old world crafted headjoint that surpasses a lot of the quickly made and solely for profit headjoints flooding the market today.
