    Description

    This is a Mateki MO-001 C flute, made in Japan. Its not easy to find info on these but the quality was immediately evident to me upon trial. It plays extremely well. I'm told the maker of this model, a Mr S. Watanabe is no longer with us but was very highly regarded for his flute making skills. Some people call these a student flute but this is far above an entry level student flute. C foot Open Hole Inline G The photos don't do it justice either.
    It came to me from a pro who I think obtained it while touring and it has barely been used as his Powells suffice. What little info I can find shows these selling used in similar condition for a little more than my price going back a few years. The company also makes much more expensive flutes. I do believe this will more than please many advancing flutists as well as their instructors. The tone is so sweet and the response so easy, it is a joy to play.
