Louis Lot flute

Description

Louis Lot vintage flute #3022, manufactered in 1882. The workshop was at the time in the hands of M. DH. Villete, direct foreman of Louis Lot himself. It is open hole, C foot and an aditional lever for the left hand to operate low D. Silver throughout with hallmarks. Total lenght 670mm, sounding lenght 590 mm. Soldered tonew holes, seamed tube.
This instrument is not in playing condition and will need overhawling, including repadding, spring and cork replacements.
The overall conditionis is actually VERY GOOD.
The embouchure measures 10mm x 11,5mm and is unaltered.

One or two words about the case: this case knew better days. It was built to store the flute asembled. After perusal of the interior, handwritten on the upper lid, with a pencil: ¨"1881", "Paris" "L.B...", etc. I took some pictures from these inscriptions, printed them and afterwards attached them to the exterior bottom of the case. All these prior to the unfortunate poor restoration of the case. The monogram on the upper lid, undistiguishable initials, is 18 k gold.
In all, I think, a superb and unique example that will need restoration work.
