    Description

    Up for auction is a Haynes Amadeus AF-800 silver flute in near mint condition.  All keys move freely and the pads/corks are in excellent condition. There are no dents present and the minor surface scratches throughout don't affect performance.  This open hole flute has a sterling silver Classic Haynes headjoint, an offset G key, pointed key cups and a low B footjoint.  The serial number is in the 13,2xx range. This flute plays fine now, but may require several minor adjustments for personal preference.  Included is a gently used Haynes Amadeus leather covered wood shell case, a leather zippered case cover(with shoulder strap), a wood cleaning rod, a Haynes polish cloth(not pictured) and a set of flute plugs.
    In the 1930 Haynes Flute Company catalogue, William Sherman Haynes expressed the wish to make a flute that more people could easily acquire. His wish has finally been granted.     The passion and craftsmanship that has been associated with Wm. S. Haynes flutes since 1888 emanates through every Amadeus flute. The master flutemakers design and work on each flute before it leaves the Boston workshop. Each flute is set-up by a professional at the Boston Haynes Shop right before it is shipped, ensuring the pads are sealed evenly and the mechanism feels crisp.
