    Description

    This circa 1972 Gemeinhardt 3SS flute has a B foot and an offset G. As an earlier SS-level Gemeinhardt, the flute is all solid sterling silver (no plating) and has gold springs.
    The flute's metalwork is in very good condition – the joints fit well (no looseness or over-tightness), the mechanism is smooth and quiet, and the only notable flaws are a few (fixable) small dings on the head joint near the cap.
    The flute currently plays beautifully but I don't know how old the pads are or much longer they have. My sense is that some of the pads need replacing to make the flute a stable, long-term player.
    The case (pictured) is in very good condition.
