Small cluster of approximately 2 to 5 Million year old sand dollar fossils from the Foxen Canyon Formation in Santa Barbara County of California.
This small cluster is still contained in the matrix of cemented sand. The large sand dollar is about 40 mm in diameter with a smaller (1.5 cm) attached at the top.
These sand dollars have been cleaned to remove calcified sand covering their exteriors. No repairs have been made to these fossils. These fossils are very fragile, please handle with care.
The fossils are shipped in a "floating" display case (pictured).

These fossil sand dollars are extremely rare to be preserved whole and with this detail. These come from the Foxen Canyon Formation in Santa Barbara County of California and date between 2 and 5 million years old.
