EMT 140 plate clips, newly manufactured, slightly stronger than stock. Tuning.

Hi There-
I got tired of not being able to find clips for these things so I took apart one of my plates (I have two) and I had clips remanufactured. These have been made to be slightly stronger than stock but not so much stronger that you should damage anything. That said, if you buy these you are doing so at your own risk and are taking responsibility to tune your plate correctly. Also, tuning a plate can be very dangerous. You must wear eye protection.
For sale is 10 sets, comprised of 10 clips and 10 spring retainers. You will receive what is exactly in the photo, though other pieces clearly. The clips I had were sent off to a company that specializes in spring metal work and they analyzed the clips and this was their recommended solution for slightly enhanced strength. We went as strong as is safely allowed. These should not be too much stronger than stock as the clips are designed to break below the tension where the plate can be damaged. . . .that is whey they are designed in the way that they are.
Buying these, you are agree that you are taking responsibility for tuning the plate and I am not held liable should you be injured or the plate be damaged as a result of using these clips. Pretty lame to have to include this language but its 2014 and I'm covering my behind….. Clips can go quietly or they can fly off with incredible velocity.
