Camp Workcoeman Amphitheater Seat Plaque 2024 Centennial Commemorative 100 years

Description

This commemorative plaque was made to celebrate the one-hundredth anniversary of the founding of Camp Workcoeman.  It consists of a section of a bench from the camp’s amphitheater, mounted on a solid oak plaque.  These seats were in use from 1991 until 2009, when the present amphitheater was built.  There was only enough wood remaining from the old amphitheater to make five of these plaques.  One is permentaly on display in the Dining Hall at Camp Workcoeman.  The plaque also includes a photo of a Camp Workcoeman Court of Honor, held to 1998.  The bench section, the photo, and a brass plate are all mounted to a 11-1/4” x 24” pice of tastefully finished red oak.  The plaque weights more than nine pounds.
All proceeds of this sale will be donated to the Citizens of Shawtown, a group of volunteers that has maintained Camp Workcoeman since 1983.
