just to improve sound quality and to last longer, since voice coils, when the ampliflier star clipping it sends "heat" to the voice coil and the wiring and glue start menlting at some point and they fail.. the original voice coil former is made with plastic, which it can fail and melt very easy with more chances because the heat.. titanium will stay in place even at higher temperatures when driving these hard!
