This is a copy of the only Palanca flute known with a tuning slide head (Quantz/Kirst style).
Carlos Palanca ca. 1765 Turino, Italy - One of the finest examples of Italian 18th Century flute making, he died at the age of 95 in 1783. The Palanca model is the most reproduced old flute in the world and there are less then 25 original Palanca flutes known today.
With excellent playing qualities, extreme undecutting, embouchure of 9.8 x 8.4, this flute is reproduced in Indian Cocobolo wood, brass slide and brass key.
