    Description

Authentic Spanish-colonial era Half-Real (1/2-Reales) denomination silver cob coin, Florida salvaged after hurricane, no way to be completely sure which wreck it came from but is still a very nice above-average cob coin for the period. Minted during 1600s or 1700s, exact date not visible. The coin is mounted in a custom handmade solid 10 karat yellow gold bezel setting to be worn as a pendant. The bale atop the coin, as well as one of the reverse side prongs (the miniature twist-rope prong) is made of sterling silver, but all the other pieces are solid gold. Gross weight for the entire pendant with coin is 3.33 g approximately.
The coin is genuine, not a reproduction. Unidentified source wreck. See photos for close-ups!
