Antique Nach Meyer Hanover 10 Key Flute, Prepped for Restoration. It will require restoration to be played.
The instrument is m excellent overall condition for its age. It has been completely cleaned, polished, and prepped for a full restoration. It does not seem to have been used much during its lifetime - I believe it just sat.
The nickel-silver keywor is completely intact and in excellent condition. No breaks, bending or repairs. Cosmetically very good condition - the silver is nice and bright. Likewise the braces and posts are excellent. The keys are ready for new pads and bumpers.
The wood body is beautiful and in perfect condition. No damage or cracks. The tenons are prepped for fresh cork.
The ivory head joint is, sadly, cracked. However, the crack is fairly thin and should repair well by a skilled restoration tech. The head joint it’s metal-lined.
The crown and rings are all intact.
The instrument comes in the original wooden, alligator covered case. The case is worn, but functional. The original key is even included - yes it works and locks well. The case is in good enough condition that it could be restored, if desired.
