The meticulous design of the Altus flute and its acclaimed Altus/Bennet scales offers excellent intonation, carefully tuned harmonics and balanced registers. The masterfully hand-sculpted headjoints and precision tubings produce the remarkable sound of the Altus flute.
We do our best to describe the condition and other than playing a few notes on the instrument, cannot give expert opinion for how well the instrument will play or whether it is needs adjustment.

Most of the flutes we acquire are from charity auctions that are donated.  This could be an instrument that was only played a short time and has been sitting.  We highly recommend that you have a professional technician go over the instrument as it may need regulation and adjustment to get back to optimal playing condition.
***remember vintage instruments have sometimes been sitting for a very long time, you as an instrument owner should clean your instrument regularly.
