This flute from the
Altus Artist Series
has a headjoint made out of Britannia silver, which has a higher purity (.958) than the more common sterling silver (.925). This
lends the 907 richer harmonics and, thus, expands the musician’s range of tonal expression.
The Altus 907 is available with a
S-cut (Classic cut) or a Z-cut head joint
.
The
S-cut (Classic cut) head joint
is renowned for producing the trademark Altus sound, and provides vibrant warmth with excellent projection. Its pure tonal center allows the artist great flexibility with an infinite color palette.
The
Z-cut head joint
, with a more rectangular embouchure hole with minimal over and undercutting, produces a quick response without sacrificing flexibility or control. The sound is open and free with a darker tonal color.

Our experienced players will therefore assemble, thoroughly test-play and where necessary adjust or set-up each instrument to perfection before shipment. We can proudly guarantee that an instrument purchased from Matthew's Music, whether it is a brand new or a vintage instrument, will be in top condition, otherwise we won't ship it.

We ship worldwide and take care in packing our articles safely. All instruments sold by us are carefully checked prior to shipping. You will receive a notification and tracking number that your shipment went out.
Within European Community
: We ship with Netherlands Priority Post. Delivery is 2 - 5 working days.
Outside of the European Community
: We ship with Netherlands Priority Post which then hooks up with delivery companies such as USPS. Delivery worldwide is 1 - 2 weeks.
If you wish to have your order send with a different postal service that is possible. Please let us know and we will contact you regarding the possibilities and possible extra costs.
Returns
: We extend 30 days time to either fall in love with your purchase or return it, from the day the item has arrived. If you decide to return it we will refund your money and we ask you to pay the return shipping only.
