Absolutely beautiful Brazilian Green Tourmaline Shard artfully tension set in Sterling Silver wrap. Recognized as the birthstone for October, this is a gorgeous piece that has been polished to a high sheen. The color of this piece is so brilliant that it glows with a light all of its own looking more like a piece of candy than a stone. The Beautiful flashing green is set off perfectly by the delicate wire wrapping encasing this precious piece securely with lovely swirls of Sterling Silver.
This piece is a perfect example of the meaning of the name tourmaline which actually comes from the Singhalese words "tura mali" which in translation, means something like "stone with mixed colors" which is exactly what this piece is.
