2 Antique 19th Century English Georgian Silver Plate & Wood Wine Bottle Coasters

Description

Presented is a pair of antique, English Georgian wine bottle coasters made during the first half of the 1800s. The sides are silver plated and the center is turned wood. The applied rims are very decorative, done in a scroll and shell motif. The felts on the bottom have been replaced.
This pair is in great overall condition considering the age. There is some minor wear to the silver plating on some of the high points. One rim has some tiny holes to the raised decoration, as you can see in the photographs, this is not very noticeable.
