    Description

This flute is on consignment from a performer and teacher in the Mid West who had amazing instruments and kept care of all of them well (I also have a Powell 2100 flute and Tom Greene headjoint from her listed and just sold two Opperman Piccolos and a solid silver headjoint from her collection to happy buyers).
This is a STUNNING flute. The best Powell I have played, hands down.  It RESONATES and vibrates in your hand.  The purity of tone and ringing quality is superb and balanced, lovely and focused.  You can sit on a note and broaden it with a change in embouchure or you can play it straight and dance about from register to register with ease. I even thought of selling my vintage Haynes for it, but ultimately decided the purity of the tone of this flute is worthy of being in an orchestra, and I mainly do jazz and pop.
This is a 1969 handmade Powell with a B and C foot. It was completely overhauled in February of 2019 by a Powell-trained technician with Straubinger pads and plays out of this world. I initially thought it resonated better with the C foot, but now I think it perhaps resonates better with the B foot (tough call). This may be due to the fact that the former owner exclusively played it with the B foot, so perhaps the B foot is a little more "broken in" to the body of the flute.
Comes with case that holds both C and B foot, case cover, cleaning rod and receipt of overhaul.

"I received the microphone just as described! Looked exactly like the photos you sent as well. No surprises here! Plugged the mic in and sounded KILLER right out of the gate. Dave did a great job on the restoration. Mic is clean, no dirt accumulation. Power supply is robust as well. Case was more than adequate for shipping but the extra care given with packing ensured a super safe delivery. 10/10 microphone here!
    Thanks again!"

"I purchased a Selmer Super Action 80 Mk1 from Dave and it was in mint condition, exactly as he described it. It was a very reasonable price and I am extremely happy with my new soprano saxophone. It plays perfectly and I am a very experienced professional player."

"Seller was knowledgeable about the instruments, easy to work with, and a fast shipper. As these instruments are gifts, they haven't been played yet."

"Your assistance to our understanding sound equipment was super excellent and essential to understanding how to deliver sound in a pro way. Since I started off not knowing anything it was important not to waste time learning by making mistakes. We are not only performing but also recording. So, we need to have the right equipment and also how to use it correctly. You delivered for both.
Delivering great sound is complex but what you taught us in a few hours was easy to understand. I was really stumbling around getting nowhere with books and YouTube. We found it vital that you came to us with your experiences from a diverse pro career in a variety of aspects within the music biz. We sure appreciate your sharing so much and pointing us in the right direction to buy the pre-amp we needed. Before our session with you, we didn't know we needed that.
The pre-amp you recommended arrived and works great to enhance vocals. Super great! I also got a sweet shock mount really holding the mic solid, like it needs to be. We are now working with our new gear to dial in that pro sound. Moving ahead, we are sure to hire you again for our next training session... at a deeper level about microphones and recording. It seems the more we know, the more we know what we don't know.
Plus, we do need a second microphone. Why waste time researching and shopping somewhere else? It can't be too long before I'll be scheduling our next session."

"Recently I purchased a great instrument from a seller who also deserves that description and it is a pleasure to recommend him to others who are looking to upgrade their equipment, instrument or to capture all that is possible in recording. Dave is a true professional who has spent his life in music attaining the highest achievement and knowledge technically and in artistry as a performer and is he extremely open and genuinely enthusiastic in sharing ideas.
He sent me recordings he had made of my flute before I bought it from him, he made sure it was superbly set up, and we engaged in a number of long, worthwhile conversations before the transaction was finalized. In these times, it is especially unexpected and valuable to encounter an individual who conducts business on such a high plane of integrity and depth and it is my belief that anyone who contacts him for a product or service that he offers will greatly benefit."
