1909 WILLIAM S. HAYNES WOOD FLUTE PLATEAU MODEL C FOOT JOINT OFFSET G NEW PADS

Description

Up for auction is a collectible and gently used 1909 William S. Haynes wood flute with silver keys, offset G key and a low C foot joint. This Haynes plateau model flute has been professionally serviced(cleaned, new pads installed, necessary corks replaced, adjusted and regulated) and plays great. There were two small cracks which have been filled(one each at the head joint and foot joint metal socket ends). The serial number is in the 14xx range, which dates the approximate year of manufacture to 1909. Included is what may be the original wood shell flute case(latches catch and release when recessed latch is pressed, interior is structually sound/intact, exterior had excessive dry rot and has since been covered in gaffer's tape), two flute body silver end caps and what could be the original cleaning rod. No key lock is included.
