Regular duty, medium power loudspeaker for replacing missing woofers in vintage Cerwin Vega cabinets where cloth edge woofers were used. 250W/rms, 500W/program or 1,000W/peak (the rear shot shows our "1,400 watt peak" woofer. Yours will say "1,000 watts peak" on the power label). Use with amplifier with up to 500 watts RMS per channel. Hole size required; 13 7/8 inches. Vintage cabinet woofer holes are usually 13 3/4 inches. Check the hole size in your cabinets before you order! Cerwin Vega used "different sized holes" in the same cabinet models. If you do have to open up your woofer holes a bit, it only takes a few minutes work. Modern (Chinese) cabinets may have up to 14 inch holes. Larger magnet with bumped back plate protects against damage due to sonic accidents and contributes to very high efficiency. The bump also allows the user the ability to "crank it up" to full power at any frequency without risk of the speaker "bottoming out"..
